Where to Stay for The Full Moon Party
Most party goers choose to stay in Haadrin, which is where the full moon party takes place. There are lots of small hotels, resorts and guest houses in Haadrin - but most do not take online bookings or are not of a very high quality. We find that it is often a better solution to stay in either Bankai or Bantai Beaches, where there are lots of resorts of a very high quality. All will offer transportation to and from the party itself and/or taxis are readily available during the party night. Besides, we are talking only about 5-10 minutes of transportation.

Minimum Stays and Other Requirements
You can be absolutely certain that most of the hotels in or near Haadrin Beach will have a minimum stay of 3 nights - most actually up to 5 or even 7 nights. As a rule of thumb, the further you move away from the party area the shorter a stay you can get away with.

Full Moon Party Venues
Drop In Club
Drop In is another long runner that has been playing a more commercial set to the huge crowd that gathers there. It has loads of different places to chill out and watch the action; playing chart, RnB, hip hop and dancefloor classics.


Same-Same
Warm up the evening with some live music at Same-Same Lodge; the band play covers from Rock to Pop on a pro sound system to keep the crowds coming back for more.


Sunrise Beach Club
Live DJs start playing 5 days before Full Moon, serving up Funky and Electro House, which alternates with a D&B, Jungle theme by the Orchid Club, Living Tribe DJ team.


Outback Bar
If you want to escape the pandemonium and hear some deep and funky house, head to the Outback near the main pier with its no trance music policy. Check out the stunning decor, a brilliantly stocked bar and an excellent menu make this a popular choice.


Warm Up Bar
Mixing an impressive selection of progressive house, the Warm Up Bar provides a good pre-dance venue in the heart of Haad Rin to down a few drinks and meet up with friends before proceeding to main event.


Backyard Club
The ultimate after party that starts up at 11am just as Haad Rin beach shuts down. Some say it is the best part of the FMP with only dedicated mooners mashing it up on the dance floor and the best of the previous nights DJs on the decks; including the infallible residents DJ A and DJ Boy.


Reggae House
Away from the main strip, tucked away just off Sunset Beach, you'll find Reggae House. Reggae House has something for everyone.....great music, cocktails, chillout hammocks, beanbag balcony and pool cave.



Other Parties

Eagle Bar Presents and Ibiza Style Sunset
There's a brand new look to the previous graffiti style that the Eagle Bar became known for. Now looking sophisticated and classy, this rather lush bar is situated right at the left end of the bay as you view the sea, on arguably the best sunset beach on Koh Phanagan. And that's the reason why starting Sunday Dec 21st sees the launch of fab new late afternoon/evening party replicating the vibe you would find at Mambo/Cafe Del Mar in San Antonio, Ibiza. Chilled beats and the Del Mar sunset style leading into groovy house as you say goodbye to the day and welcome the night. Weekly resident is former top Kiss 100 DJ (8 years in DJ Mag's influential Top 100) Graham Gold, now a KP resident also! The part starts at 4pm and continues till late!


New Years Eve December 31st Not everyone wants the total madness of Haad Rin and the psy trance that goes with it, and to save you the journey from the north west of the island all the way to the south, the Eagle Bar is putting on yet again another great NYE party!! With Graham Gold and the boys from Phunkd whipping up the crowd, complete with body painters and fireshows, this a superb option to Haad Rin. Totally free of course, the party starts at 8pm and goes till sunrise!
